Getting the care you deserve.

Hi there, I’m Leticia!

In 2009, I started providing MultiSystem Therapy for children and families. I provided assessment and crisis-based services for at-risk youth and children. In 2010, I began doing outpatient community-based mental health treatment. During this time, I completed Comprehensive Clinical Assessments, provided outpatient therapy, and co-facilitated a DBT group. I have worked in a variety of settings, including Managed Care Organization, a residential setting, and in the hospital. While working at the hospital, I was a social worker on an inpatient psychiatric unit for 2 years and also completed psychiatric consults and evaluations in the emergency department for 1 year. In 2017, I started working in a private practice and worked there for 7 years. Now, I have opened my own practice and specialize in depression, anxiety, grief, trauma-based recovery, and how to manage life stressors. I incorporate spirituality/religion into therapy services if requested. I have engaged in training on Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. I enjoy working with people and helping people work through their past, present, and concerns about the future. Outside of being a therapist, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, cooking and baking, and watching football and college basketball!

Who I Work With

Juggling Life

Life can be a struggle. Maybe you’re balancing multiple demands—parenthood, relationship, career, caring for a relative or loved one—that you feel constantly pulled in different directions. As the demands increase, time for yourself decreases, and you find yourself full of worry and defeating thoughts such as, “I can’t handle this”.

Worried and Overwhelmed

You’re exhausted, but these running thoughts keep you up at night. When you finally do fall asleep, you wake up several times or wake up feeling unrested. You have to talk yourself into getting up and starting your day, and then you find panic and fear at every turn. You worry constantly, and it keeps you from doing things you need to do. It even keeps you from doing things you want to do.

Sad and Tired

You’ve felt this way for a while, and you’re beginning to wonder if you will ever feel content again. It’s starting to impact your relationships, and some have even ended because it feels like no one understands. You’re discouraged, defeated, and feeling down more days than not. You want to do something different, to feel better, to feel like yourself again, but you’re not sure how. You’ve tried things in the past, but they didn’t work.

Grief and Loss

You’ve experienced a loss, and you’re unsure who to turn to or even how to begin processing what you feel. The “waves” of grief continue to ebb and flow, and while some days are better than others, you know that something’s got to give. Maybe you’re unable to rest, or you find yourself worrying more than usual. Things just feel heavy, and you need some relief.

I work with a wide range of presenting issues including: Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, Grief, Life Transitions, Stress Management, and Personality Disorders. Treatment Modalities primarily used are: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). As stated above, I do incorporate Faith/Spirituality, if requested. I work with Adolescents (ages 13+) and Adults. Of note, I may work with families as needed but my work is primarily with the individual.
